From next Tuesday to Friday, I'm not going to be unemployed! Through the great agency I'm registered with, I've got work as a Teaching Assistant in a Year 1 class at a Primary School about 2 miles from my house. I'm looking forward to it... this is the reason i quit my job, to get more experience in a variety of schools, and getting paid for it.... well, that's great!

Nothing much to report on the PGCE/school front of my life, other than to say that I may be unemployed (voluntarily) at the moment, but at least I'm managed to bag myself a summer job. I'll be working as a leader on a playscheme about 5 miles outside Southampton, and it looks really good. I'm also applying for a job in a school (ICT LSA) which looks really good, and is temporary for the summer term (yay!) so we'll see what happens with that... fingers crossed...

It's been a while!

Well, term has started, and I'm sitting at home in front of the computer - so I guess that means I'm unemployed! There are a few things on the cards - temporary school work through agencies etc - and I should be working for a very cool playscheme over the summer. I have a feeling that being a lady of leisure will be nice for a few days, but could get a little, well, boring. To be honest, though, it's not like I'm lazing around doing nothing - in fact, I've hardly stopped! I've been washing, cleaning, tidying, decorating.....!
