The last few weeks haven't been the fun-est in the world. I've damaged my back quite badly, and have been in a lot of pain down my back and left arm since the last few weeks of my placement. I've been to the osteopath twice (spending as much as I'm planning on spending on a wedding dress!) and I think it's helped a bit.... I'm slowly getting better...

This Sunday I'm off wedding dress shopping with Ben's mum. I'm semi-excited about it, although I generally hate shopping so am a bit worried I'll come out of it really depressed and without anything to wear on July 7th!

Today I looked at a few dresses in Monsoon and Debenhams, and it seems most wedding dresses are made for 6 footers! No exaggeration, there was about a foot of extra material for lil' 5'3" me! So it looks like I'll have to add 'alterations' into the wedding budget...!

Somehow, whilst on placement, I managed to damage one of my vertebrae and a nerve in my back... the consequence being I've been in a great deal of pain for over a week. Not much fun at all. I have pain shooting up my next, all around my upper back and down my left arm. This is the first time I've been on the computer for a week, and it's still really painful to sit down. I've been off uni since Tuesday which is really really frustrating. I've missed my friends loads on placement, saw them briefly when I struggled in on Monday... and haven't seen them since.

Ben has been an absolute star whilst I've been writhin around in agony. I really am the luckiest girl in the world.

The wedding is starting to draw near (have a look at the counter over there - it really is close!) - and I still don't have anything to wear. I need to get on and find a dress, but in the state I'm in at the moment, dress shopping just isn't an option.

Ah well, I'm trying everything, and keeping everything crossed that it gets better soon... next osteopath appointment is on Tuesday, hopefully he'll sort me out! :)
