Somehow, around all this PGCE work, I've managed to fit in redesigning my website... several people (including my wonderful mum, who likes reading my weblog to find out what i'm up to!) had told me when they went to icklesarah.co.uk they ended up with just a black screen.... so hopefully you guys will be able to see this now!

... or maybe you'll just get a white screen??!

We've almost finished the third room in our house, which is really pretty exciting (for me, anyway)! Almost as soon as we moved in we redecorated our bedroom (completely - stripped off all the paper and repainted from scratch), and a few months later we'd finished the 2nd bedroom (our study). Since about May we've been working on the living room, which is a huuuuge job. It's a big room which had several layers of wallpaper and underneath all that, the walls were in very bad condition. We stripped the paper, filled loads of cracks and holes, painted 2 bottom coats, and are about half way through the top cost now.

But a few weeks ago we started work on the 3rd bedroom, our 'guest bedroom', the conversion upstairs. Ben's auntie's coming to visit tonight, so we had a bit of a reason to get it done. So, we've stripped all the paper (ah, what lovely walls - they're 1981 as opposed to 1930!), sanded the walls, painted bottom and top coat... and this morning (7am!) I finished building our new 'guest bed'. When we get home after work we just need to get the mattres upstairs, put the bedding on, and try to attach something to the curtain rail to block out the light (ok, we're not quite all there)...

The house is really coming together, and it's pretty satisfying to see all the hard work we've put in making our house into somewhere to be proud of.

Only the living room, hall, kitchen and bathroom to go....!!!

PGCe is going well.... in fact, at this moment I'm in an ICT lecture on blogging! We've just been asked to create our own weblog... I think I'll stick with this one for now. :)

I probably won't be writing much here that's particularly understandable or interesting before June 2006... the PGCE is a lot of work, and it's only going to get more... but hey, it's only 9 months of my life, and at teh end of it i'll be a real teacher.

I'm learning quite a lot (more in some subjects than others), met some really cool people, and am looking forward to getting into school on Monday and meeting 'my' class!
