Well, I've decided to try out this free ipod thing.

It's been written about on the bbc website, amongst others, and is apparently completely genuine.... you click on this link to sign up... you need to sign up for one of the 'offers' - most of them cost money, but one is a big online dvd rental store, with a free trial period. You get 5 free DVDs and then you can cancel, and not pay a penny.

If you sign up through this link, you'll help get me on my way to one of these ipod thingys, and then you'll need to get 5 people to do the same. Just remember to cancel your DVD rental before 21 days of after your 5th DVD.

If you want to find out how it works, it's all on here - click on 'help' for an explanation.

Don't worry at all if you don't want to sign up to this... I just thought i'd pop it up here in case anyone was able to help me get something to entertain me on those 45 minute walks into uni each day!

Thanks guys. :)

On Monday I started my Primary PGCE course at the University of Southampton, and so far it's going pretty well. it's much music much more work than an undergrad degree, but i always expected that. There's a lot of emphasis on 'independent learning' (i.e. 5 page book lists for each subject!) so that'll take a little getting used to, but I'm enjoying the academic side of things so far.

On the social side, I've met some really cool people, although with the majority of my good friends in life being male, I'm a bit disappointed by the 1:15 male:female ratio! Ah well, the girls seem pretty cool too. :)

It's good to have finally got started with this... and as the head of department has told us several times - only 37 weeks to go until I am (hopefully) a qualified teacher.

As Ben pointed out yesterday, that's even shorter than a pregnancy....!
