This is the place we're going to get married
in just over 10 months... wow...

It's a Mill in the countryside on the Hampshire/Dorset border, and is absolutely beautiful. I've suddenly got all excited about wedding-y stuff... we're getting married!

Wallpaper stripping definitely takes longer than you'd think. Yesterday I stripped for 3 solid hours, and still haven't finished the wall I was working on. As an ickle person it's particularly tiring doing the high up bits - give me the sloping corner of our loft conversion to strip any day!!

I've started to realise recently that I really am 'growing up'. I've passed the point where the most important things are going out/having fun etc... and now the main interests in my life are DIY, kitchens, bathrooms, paint colours, weddings, toby and sammie!

... and the wonderful thing is that I wouldn't have it any other way. :)

Well, I've been useless at updating recently, but when you're living on a building site and working all day with semi-delinqent teenagers, it's quite hard to get on the net! ;)

for the past week we've had floorboards ripped up, dust and mess everywhere, an old boiler, tank and loads of pipes in our front garden, old radiators scattered around the house.... but we're almost finished, and we now have a shiny new boiler and 7 very shiny new radiators.

The house is just about starting to come together...

Well, it's definitely all go at the moment. At the weekend Ben's ickle sis got married, and today I turned 24 - almost half a century down! We've all but set our wedding date although it's still subject to venue availability. Life's very busy (mainly because of the playscheme and house stuff) but it's all going pretty fan-diddly-tastically. :)
