Cor, I've been a useless blogger lately! Well... in the last couple of weeks... Ben's turned 24, Toby been neutered, Toby's mummy has been very worried about him but all's fine, our garden is looking much better (after lots of help from Ben's parents!), I've worked in a nice infant school for 8 days, and I've got pink shoulders from doing numeracy out on the snakes and ladders in the playground... for 2 hours!!
So, all's good. :)

The weather's been so nice over the past few days! Unfortunately it looks like it's going downhill for the weekend, and since I've spent a good part of this week suffering with the cold from hell, I haven't really been able to enjoy it. Ah well, I managed to get a decent amount of wallpaper stripping and undercoat painting done before the cold set in.
Things in the world of ickle sarah are going well. This week I haven't been working (probably a good thing!) but next week I'm off to an Infant School for the week, followed by 4 or so weeks at a very posh prep school in the middle of the rolling Hampshire countryside.
And guess what? After spending the almost 6 years since I passed my driving test being pretty much a non-driver... I'm finally back on the road! Ben's a stunning driving instructor, and has been easing me into it over the past few months... and today I drove him to work, drove back on my own, then drove the half an hour to the school, and back! It may sound like a small thing, but I'm really proud of myself. Sometimes I wondered whether I'd ever get back into driving, so it's a wonderful feeling to know that I'm a road-worthy road user. :)

Ben and I had a lovely few days in the Isle of Wight over half term. The weather wasn't great, but we had a couple of sunny mornings, and visited some nice places. Toby also had a great time, weeing on my parents' living room carpet 10 times in one afternoon.
Next project is decorating the living room, which is a hefty job - it's 24 foot long, and full of ins, outs, alcoves, etc etc etc. I think we're going for a yellow/blue paint combination - hopefully it'll look ok, cos it'll be damn expensive to redo if it doesn't!
