I haven't been posting much recently, as most of the things I've been thinking about are to do with school/teaching, and I won't bore you all with that. But I thought I'd pop in and say that I've had a great 4 weeks with the year 1 classes at the school I'm working at - it's definitely confirmed for me that I was right to quit my job and head into teaching. I know it's a hard job, but I'm up for the challenge.

Things at home are great - although we've stalled a little on the DIY front. Toby's hit sexual maturity, and is humping anything in sight, so we're going to have to take him to the vets soon, to be 'altered'. :( We didn't really want to get him neutered, but I know it'll be more comfortable for him, so it's only fair. He's a wonderful boy, we can't imagine life without him.

Oh, and it's Sammie's birthday today - she's a year old! Happy birthday Samsam. :)

Life's been rollercoasting along in a whirl of school days for the past fortnight. Things are going well at the school, and I've just heard they want me back for another 2 weeks, up until half term - nice! It makes me very glad I stopped working at the University - this is really what I want to be doing.

Ben's booked half term off work, so we're looking forward to spending 24/7 together for an entire week. We might even pop over to the Isle of Wight for a few days and introduce Toby to granded and Auntie Rachel...!

All's going well with my teaching assistant-ing this week - and I've just found out the school want me back next week as well! It's definitely very different to other schools I've been in, but I'm enjoying it and learning a lot. And best of all, it's making me absolutely sure that my decision to train as a teacher was the right one. :)
