One of the best things about having had monday off is that..... today feels like Thursday, but it's the weekend tomorrow! I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend - Ben and I may be going to see a mortgage advisor! How scary (and exciting)! We also might pop into an outdoor shop in Soton and have a look at kites! We got very into kite flying whilst in the IoW, but mine looks like it's nearing the end of its kite life....

Have a good weekend, everyone!

We're back from the IOW now - had a great time, although far too short. The weather was lovely most of the time, and we did lots of visiting, walking, shopping, kite flying.... was really fantastic. I want to find somewhere to fly my kite around here - I taught Ben stunt kite flying and it was lots of fun. We got back late yesterday evening, and had to come straight back to work this morning.... I did not enjoy having to wake up with the 7.30am alarm, after our lovely lie ins of the past 5 days...! :)

Woo - in 9 hours Ben and I will be on a ferry on our way to the Isle of Wight for a whole FIVE DAYS of escape. I'm pretty fed up with work at the moment - it's boring and not taxing me at all - so I really need a break. The weather's pretty rotten at the moment, so I hope it clears up. Must rmember to take my kite and see if we can get some flying in. I'm so excited.... only 6 1/2 hours of work to get through before then....

This time next week, Ben and I will be in the Isle of Wight for a well earned break - I can't wait!

We're spending 5 days at Sparrowpot, the Butterworth's IOW base... I'm getting excited just thinking about it. We're taking the car across, so we'll really be able to explore the Island.... a holiday... wooooo! :)

Surely it can't be a week since I last wrote?! Blimey.

Well, it's been an eventful week.... well, one that has actually been dominated by 2 big events.... Ben's job interview at Southampton last Friday.... and him being offered the job on Monday!! So my wonderful one has a very very good job to go into at the end of this month, paying him a salary he deserves.... and working on campus with me! We're going to be able to get the bus into work together which will be very cool - it's quite lonely on the bus, with everyone sitting on their own and not talking. Really looking forward to spending commuting time with Ben... and maybe even meeting up for lunch too!

So.... all we need now is for interest rates to drop a wee bit (well, more than a wee bit...) so we can buy our first house. There are some nice oroperties around here, and we've worked out where we'd like to live.... it's all very exciting.

This weekend we're off the our local theatre (which just happens to be one of the biggest in the south east) to see 'Chicago' with Marty Pellow, which should be very cool. I'm just finishing my lunch break now, so only 3 work hours left til home time... wheeeee! :)

Well done Ben!!!
