I really can't believe it's so long since I've written in here. Shows what my life's been like, I guess... not enough time to think!

In answer to Piers' comment on my last entry, and following up from the entry itself, worry ye not, my emails were backed up, it just took a while for them to be recovered, as there were.... well.... rather a few!

So, what's happened? Ben and I had a great time in the Isle of Wight, and are heading off to Cambridge this weekend to visit my sister up there - should be cool as I've only seen her for 4 hours in the last 10 months - crazy stuff! Even though we talk on the phone almost every day, it'll be great to see her in person! We get to go to Christ's College 'formal hall' as well - posh stuff!

It's a Tuesday night, so, as sure as eggs is eggs I'm in my favourite place in the world (can you hear the sarcasm?) - the Media Centre - laying up the paper with Chris and Ben. It's going ok - I'm getting quicker and quicker each week, but I'm really looking forward to Christmas when I get a bit of time away from bf, and can concentrate on other things.

Talking of 'other things', I'm coordinating the 'launch' of a weekly 'Union Surgery' in which a couple of the Sabbs and Execs will head up to the Lecture Theatres and talk to people, as opposed to waiting for them to come to us. Hopefully it'll bring up some new ideas for things the Union get onto the University/locality/world about.... what fun!

Right, Emma's just called so I'm going to have a chat to her then get back to some lovely lovely barefacts...... :)

Exciting event of ickle sarah's day = the comms inbox deciding it didn't want to work any more, and losing all my emails since July!

Not the best thing you want to happen to you when you've got to produce a 24 page newspaper in about 36 hours! Oh well, I'll do what I always do, and get round it somehow!

Everything this week is leading me towards Friday, when I'm going AWAY! Yes, Ben and I are jumping on the traing (and ferry) and heading over to the sunny Isle of Wight for a minibreak... well, 3 days! I really can't wait. I've barely left Guildford since August and it's going to be so lovely to spend some time with him without (hopefully) worrying about barefacts, gu2, ussu and everything that goes with being the VP Comms at Surrey. Bliss!

But meanwhile, I've got this 'ere paper to get on with, so i'd best be off.

I'll leave with a quick congratulations to the new USSU Executive Officers: Ben Berryman, Neil Christie, Jay Butcher, Catherine Lee, Michael Ogunseye, Zoe Kilb, Claire Hammonds and Doreen Kiambuthi. I look forward to a great coming year working with you guys! :)

Every time I see the Vice Chancellor of UniS he asks me when I'm going to update my weblog, so here it is, especially for Professor Patrick Dowling!

The main reason I've been less than reliable with my blogging is that work's been crazily busy as every, and any spare time I have I want to spend with the wonderfully amazing Ben. However, I didn't come in at all over the weekend and had a really great time.

I left work early on Friday and had lunch with Ben and Scoot in town, which quickly proceeded into a few birthday drinks for Scoot, then a film at his house, and we got back to campus at 2am! On Saturday Ben and I spent the day with his parents, watching Bracknell play Penzance and Newlyn (the Pirates) at rugby then cooking a 'feast' with his Auntie. We got back to campus at about 11pm, wuickly got changed, then headed off to the Freshers' Ball! The ball was good fun... we were only there for 2 hours, but as a sabb I got free tickets, so luckily that didn't matter. :)

On Sunday Ben and I lazed around, then met up with Scoot, Mel, Mental, Bob God, Matt, Wrighty, Rasey, Forest, Jay and Olly to have a few drinks for Scoot's birthday (which was actually on saturday). We had great fun, and relived a few memories, as it was the pub we were in when I first realised Ben liked me, all those months ago!

Today's been crazy, and I've been getting a bit down with everything barefactsy as it seems to be consuming my life. Tomorrow it's Union elections, where my friend Neil is standing for Academic Affairs Officer and Ben's going for Non Portfolio Officer, which is quite exciting. I've read Neil's speech, and it's very very good, so all fingers crossed for them both! :)

Rightm barefacts calls.... actually bed calls.... so i'm off, and I'll try to write more often!
