We got an extension on out jazz coursework - wahoo! That means the pressure's kinda eased off a bit this week. The only free evening I had between now and the original deadline (Monday) was Saturday, after a busy day doing DAVE training at the Union for about 5 or 6 hours, so now I have just that tiny bit more time to get my work done. See, even though I'm not course rep anymore, I still have my uses! I've kinda made a start on jazz tonight, after a nice 2 hour siesta at 7pm. I was up until about 2am doing barefacts and down there again at 11.30am til 3pm working on it today, so not a huge amount of sleep. This week's paper is a good issue. I'm so proud of my contribution (hopefully I'm doing more good than harm!). I'm really enjoying doing everything to do with it, and am getting much more confident in my writing ability, voicing my ideas, and my knowledge of the programme we use for laying up. I did several pages all by myself, and it was very satisfying to look at the finished thing and think "I did that."
Had (late) lunch with Paul and Rich in Chancellors today - I've hardly eaten here in Rawson at all over the past few days. Came home and was a bit peed off with my housemates for using my plates, kinves, forks etc etc and NOT WASHING THEM UP. I have no problem with other people using my stuff, as long as they wash it up pretty soon after. Leaving it lying around for 2 days really isn't on. Grrr.... Ah, the joys of living with 13 other people. The other day someone upset a pot of tamarin (whatever that is - it looks like very thick chocolate spread) and it managed to get over everything on the side work surface. Of course, noone cleaned it up (we think it belonged to Roshan) so Neil and I, as dutiful senior residents, spent ages trying to clean the surface. It wasn't nice.
I did some violin practice today - around an hour (which I'm meant to do more than every day, but hey) and it was quite satisfying. I wish I had more spare time to do practice, but I'd never give up barefacts, or anything else that I do. I'm sooo busy at the moment, and I can say that sure in the knowledge that I really have been doing stuff for around 12 hours or more every day. Sometimes I might say "I'm so busy", but deep down I know that I could have found time to do things if i'd tried, but at the moment, "I'm so busy" really means what it says.
But hey - I'm loving it! :o)
P.S. News flash - if you haven't already seen, the Drag and Fetish 2002 photos are now up here - enjoy! (Huuuuge thanks to Adam for his assistance in getting them up on hte web - I am forever indebted! :o))
